“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

We so often get that scripture confused, believing that our treasure will follow our heart. Jesus said just the opposite. Where we give our treasure, that we will love. It is apparent that the real need is to ask the questions: “Where do I want my heart to be? What do I want to value? What kind of person do I want to be? What kind of difference do I want to make in the world? then invest our treasure there!
That is why we take our financial stewardship seriously at Port Williams United Baptist Church. As followers of Christ, we want our giving to lead us to greater discipleship. Our financial giving is one way we seek to grow.
There are many ways to do that! Many of our members have chosen to be a part of our Pre Authorized Giving program, where a given amount is withdrawn from our bank account on a given schedule. You can learn more about that below. Others like the physical discipline of placing an envelope in the offering plate. Still others enjoy the convenience of online giving.
