Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.   Psalm 100: 1-5

Christmas is a time of joy.

Some things that give me Christmas Joy are...

Decorating with all of the Christmas mugs and Christmas Santas.

Picking out trees that would be a good fit in the house, with each family member picking ones they like and all deciding together which trees are the perfect ones.

Putting lights on our trees that are colourful or plain white lights and then decorating them with all of the traditional family ornaments while we listen to all of the family’s favourite Christmas carols.

Baking the muffins my family bakes every year to have Christmas morning after everybody opens their gifts from Santa and family members.

Wrapping the presents to give to my family and friends for them to open Christmas morning.

Sharing family traditions that we, and our friends and family do every Christmas.

Receiving presents from family members that make me feel joyful every time I see them.

Reading Christmas classics such as, The Night Before Christmas and the story of Christmas with the pajamas my parents give me on Christmas Eve night, right before bedtime.

Listening to Christmas carols as we open the presents under the Christmas tree and take turns each opening a present from youngest to oldest.

Eating a Christmas feast with all of my family on Christmas day.

That is what gives me Christmas joy.

Prayer: God, Thank you for your gifts of joy in our world.
